Three Trivia Nights, Three Candidates, One Big Goal 🎉
This past weekend, the Hendricks County Young Dems wrapped up our third and final trivia fundraiser at Books & Brews in Brownsburg, and we couldn't be prouder of what this community made possible.
Since February, we've packed the house with trivia fans, team names we're still laughing about, and neighbors who care about the future of our state. Each night supported a different Democratic candidate for the Indiana House:
🗳️
February: Tiffany Stoner, District 25
🗳️
July: Will Colteryahn, District 40
🗳️
This past weekend: Karen Whitney, District 28
Together, these events raised funds through ticket sales and brought out the community to support candidates who are stepping up to challenge the Republican supermajority in Indiana. Every dollar helps these campaigns reach more voters, knock more doors, and make the case that Hendricks County deserves representation that listens.
For our Vice-Chair, Alexandra Reid, nights like these show why young people organizing matters. "Organizing gives young people opportunities to turn ideas into action and make a real difference," said Reid. "When we are involved in the community, we help create a future we want to see."
A huge thank you to our friends at Books & Brews for hosting us all three times, to everyone who showed up, played, donated, and spread the word, and to our volunteers who made each night run smoothly. And thank you to Tiffany, Will, and Karen for being willing to run.
The trivia nights may be done, but the work isn't. Election Day is coming, and there's plenty to do: volunteer, talk to your neighbors, and make sure you have a plan to vote. Want to get involved with the Young Dems? Reach out, we'd love to have you.
