The 2026 midterm elections are almost here!

Voter alert: Absentee Ballot Deadline

Thursday, October 22, 2026, is the DEADLINE to submit an ABS-MAIL or ABS-VPD application to state or county officials. POSTMARKS DO NOT COUNT!


If a voter mails their application on or before October 22 and it comes in the mail on October 23, 2026, then the county must reject the application. This week, it is recommend that voters submit an application online at indianavoters.in.gov to avoid problems with the mail and if it's possible, ask someone to hand-deliver their application to the state or county. Anything sent by mail this week has a high probability of being late. The county must send a notice of disposition to the voter to inform them their application was rejected, but that may not come until closer to Election Day.

As the HCDP participates in and encourages such assembly in Hendricks County, we should be aware of our rights and have some safety and security thoughts in mind as we protest our government – even though we are not in Chicago, Portland, NYC or LA.
