Thank you to Plainfield for another fantastic Quaker Day Parade! The Hendricks County Democratic Party was proud to roll through town on our float, wave to neighbors, and celebrate this beloved local tradition.
We were especially glad to have six candidates walk the route with us this year, meeting voters and sharing why they're running: Jered Petrey (County Council D3), Drew Cox (running for Congress, CD4), Will Colteryahn (Indiana House D40), Suzanne Fortenberry (Indiana House D57), Cindy Simmons (County Council D1), and Karen Whitney (Indiana House D28).
With floats staged bright and early at Duke Energy on Main Street, our team decorated, geared up in blue, and hit the parade route with signs waving and candy flying — showing Plainfield that Democrats are here, active, and invested in our community.
Quaker Day marked our last parade of the summer, and what a season it's been! Thank you to everyone who marched, waved, decorated floats, and showed up to celebrate community spirit across Hendricks County. We couldn't be prouder of the energy and enthusiasm you brought to every stop. See you out there again next year!
