Here are some ways to volunteer your time?

Become a Candidate

Run for a position/office to directly lend the Democratic viewpoint into conversations that effect voters' lives and livelihood. From school board to County Council, the HCDP will help you pursue this goal. Notify the County Chair if you are interested.

Become a Poll Worker or Poll Watcher

Poll worker: Registered voters who help the Hendricks County Election Board run elections according to Indiana State and County Election laws. Training is required prior to each election. Workers are paid for their work.

Poll watcher: Registered voter who is tasked with observing the voting process as it is being conducted during elections, noting any untoward delays or issues around individuals exercising their right to vote. A position not always staffed during elections, but requested by county party or candidate.

Becoming a Precinct Captain/Chair or Vice Chair
