Hendricks County Has MADVoters

Are you a Hoosier who feels unseen, unheard, and undervalued by our government? The Hendricks County Democratic Party (HCDP) is teaming up with MADVoters Indiana to empower Hoosiers via educating and advocating for a more equitable Indiana. MADVoters Indiana believes that everyone deserves Mutually Assured Democracy, and the HCDP could not agree more.

The HCDP will be hosting a Civics Literacy Lab on Nov 13, 2025 (6:00 pm EST) at the Avon-Washington Township Public Library presented by MADVoters Indiana. The presentation is an interactive workshop that covers topics such as voter registration and eligibility, understanding the role of government officials and the legislative process, and much more, including how you can get involved in the democratic process with a level of commitment that suits your lifestyle and the needs of your community.

Protester’s Rights

The right to assemble and protest is a fundamental aspect of American constitutional law, deeply rooted in the history and principles that shaped our United States. This First Amendment right allows citizens to gather and express their views. As the HCDP participates in and encourages such assembly in Hendricks County, we should be aware of our rights and have some safety and security thoughts in mind as we protest our government – even though we are not in Chicago, Portland, NYC or LA.
